Mangoes, Koalas and Christmas Wrap Up

The 2022 Mango Run

As 2022 draws to a close, it’s time once again for our team to hit the road delivering a box of delicious mangoes to each of our wonderful clients.

This is a tradition we have done for the last 21 years and something the whole team all look forward to. It’s a chance to get out of the office and see the wonderful smiles on everyone’s face when they realise it mango time again! Our deliveries take over a week to get all the mangoes out and we travel throughout the entire Redlands including Sheldon and Chandler.

We’ve had a few people ask where we source our mangoes. As we love to support our local community, before Simon boxes them up, the mangoes are delivered fresh by Gordon from Randalls Farm Fresh Fruit & Vegies Store, 19 Birkdale Rd, Birkdale. Gordon always has the freshest fruit and vegies, and the business has been in the family for over 30 years….a wonderful local business we are so proud to support.

Redlands Coast Koala Watch

The annual “Redlands Coast Koala Watch” is now underway. This is a joint partnership between the community, koala researchers and Redland City Council that allows residents to contribute to koala conservation. The research team is amazing, but they can’t be everywhere. So, they are relying on help from the community to keep track of local koalas.

The information gathered is used by researchers and Council to boost koala conservation, help sick and injured koalas and improve local koala mapping. Finding sick or injured koalas early and calling for wildlife rescue helps make koalas recover and come back home from hospital happy and health. If you do find an injured koala, please call the Redlands 24-hour Wildlife Rescue Service on (07) 3833 4131. To get involved in the survey, simply click on the link: RCC Koala Watch

The Koala Action Group reminds us that coming into the busy Christmas period, please take extra care on our roads as koalas and many other animals regularly cross roads to find mates and access habitat. Also keep pet dogs inside or contained to a deck area to allow koalas and other wildlife to move safely through our neighbourhoods.

Did you know we have “Ambassador Koalas” in the Redlands? This is feisty Thelma who continues to thrive in her Mt Cotton koala safe neighbourhood.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing clients for entrusting the sale of their property to our team. We pride ourselves on consistently achieving the best possible result for our sellers and we try to help in any way we can (whether that be simply helping to stage the property in preparation for sale or actually grabbing a broom and getting stuck into some cleaning!)

We don’t usually tout our success but we are continually one of the top ranked teams throughout Remax Queensland and Remax Australia. We couldn’t achieve this result without our wonderful clients, a lot of whom have become lifelong friends of our team.

As we preparation for the Christmas break, we want to assure you we are available during the Christmas closure should you need any real estate help or advice. Remember, we love referrals and we are just a phone call away!

Wishing you and your family a Christmas filled with joy, love, laughter, and good cheer.

All the best, Simon.
