What Happens at Open Homes

There’s a lot more to an open home than unlocking the door and greeting visitors. From careful preparation to the follow-up calls days later, each open home is part of a well-oiled process designed to give buyers the best experience while delivering valuable feedback to our sellers.

Preparation Before the Doors Open

Before buyers even step foot on the property, our team is busy ensuring everything is perfect. We arrive early to double-check the presentation — opening blinds, turning on lights, and making sure everything is inviting. We also place directional signage around the area to help guide potential buyers to the home.
We bring along brochures and property information sheets, so buyers can take all the key details with them.

Welcoming Buyers

As buyers arrive, they’re greeted warmly and asked to register their details. This not only helps us understand who attended, but also allows us to follow up with important information after the inspection.
Throughout the inspection, we’re available to answer questions, point out key features, and offer insights that might not be immediately obvious. We’re there to create a comfortable, no-pressure environment where buyers feel at ease exploring the property.

Collecting Feedback and Following Up

Feedback is a crucial part of the open home process. After each buyer has had a chance to view the home, we’ll ask a few key questions to gauge their thoughts — what they liked, what they didn’t, and how the home compares to others they’ve seen.
Once the open home ends, the work doesn’t stop there. We compile all the feedback and report back to our sellers, providing a clear picture of the level of interest and any trends we’re seeing across buyer comments. The agent conducting the open home also personally follows up with every buyer who attended. This personal touch ensures that anyone who showed interest receives the information they need and helps keep the property fresh in their mind.
Collecting and acting on feedback helps us continuously adjust and position the property in the best way possible, ensuring it stands out in the market.
